Dear Northeast Houston family,
I simply can’t believe Summer is upon us already. This year has been a blur for me and I don’t think I’m the only one holding that perspective.
I want to share with you a weekly schedule change that will only last for the Summer. We are going to offer a Sunday evening service that will take the place of the Wednesday evening service. The Sunday evening service will be from 6-7pm.
The first Sunday evening service will be on Sunday, June 22nd, and the last Sunday evening service will be Sunday, August 31. The last Wednesday evening service will be Wednesday, June 11, and will resume on Wednesday, September 3.
Here are some highlights for your information:
· 5:30-6pm: there will be coffee available in the lobby, free of charge, for you to visit with friends. During this time, your kids are welcome to play in the field outside. Teenagers may want to head upstairs to the game rooms in the youth hallway.
· 6-7pm:
o Worship service
o Preschool ministry
o Kids on Mission—this ministry is for children K-5th and is currently offered on Wednesday evenings
o SWAT—this is our normal Wednesday night worship service for teens
· 7pm: this could be a good time to go get ice cream or dinner with another family.
Our blended music team and our contemporary music team will take turns leading worship in the evening service. I will preach an entirely different sermon from the Sunday morning sermon.
Please feel free to invite your friends who do not come to NEHBC. This will be a great Sunday evening experience.
