SUNDAY MORNINGS
Our preschool ministry desires for seeds of spiritual curiousity to sprout in the hearts of even our youngest. We provide our little ones with excellent care by ensuring a clean, hygienic, and safe environment in which they can learn. All of our preschool workers have been trained for this ministry and have passed criminal background checks. Once a child is four years old, we ask parents and guardians to begin bringing them to "big church". We realize they are not yet able to sit still for 60 minutes, and we don't expect them to. But whatever implications this may have on the service does not compare to the spiritual growth your child will receive by being in corporate worship with you and watching you model worship to them. - We encourage parents to prepare a "big church" only toy bag for their children that may only be accessed by your children on Sunday mornings. (This bag might include coloring books, puzzles, matchbox cars, etc.) Because your child only has access to these toys on Sunday mornings, the toys will keep your child occupied for the sermon time. We encourage you to help your child participate in the pre-sermon portion of the service and then make their toy bag available to them during the sermon which typically lasts about 25 minutes.

Ezekiel:
Hear the Word of the Lord!
May 18th - June 15th
THE POINT: Ezekiel's call as a prophet was to tell the Israelite people in exile that their own actions had caused their downfall and, that God was a God of restoration and that He would not abandon them!.
SCRIPTURE: Ezekiel 1-48 (overview of the book)
MEMORY VERSE: "I will put my spirit within you, and you shall live, and I will place you on your own soil; then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken and will act." Ezekiel 37:14
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Children will:
-
Learn that Ezekiel had a clear call to be a prophet, and a vision of God, and His Holiness.
-
Learn that many Israelites were taken to Babylon and lived in exile. This was God's judgment of a "rebellious" people and their sin.
-
Learn that God is a God of restoration. When Israel repented of their sins, the Lord brought them back under His blessings and gave them a vision of hope in the "Valley of Dry Bones".

Parents! Ask your children what they are learning each Sunday. We want to partner with you as you lead your child to an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ. Take an active part and get your child talking about the Bible. Use the Sunday morning lesson as a jumping point to show them how God's Word is relavant to their lives.

SUNDAY NIGHTS
As CLU meets during the fall and spring semesters, we encourage all of our Potter's Kids to be involved in our AWANA ministry on Sunday nights from 5:00-7:00pm. This ministry is designed to help your child memorize over 60 Bible verses each year and love doing it in the process. They will receive rewards such as "jewels" and patches to put on their AWANA vests and have the opportunity to participate in parties and other exciting events related to AWANA. Our fall semester will begin September 9th. To register your child for AWANA, click here.
WEDNESDAY NIGHTS
On Wednesday nights our Potter's Kids learn Bible stories in creative ways through music, games, and drama. During the first part of the hour, children sing together in our children's choir. The second half of the hour includes creative games and Bible stories.
Together, our Sunday morning and Wednesday night Potter's Kids opportunities are designed to equip your child to have the spiritual tools they need to prepare for their teenage years.

Throughout the year we provide opportunities for your children to be involved in evangelism. Events such as movie nights, Vacation Bible School, Fall Festival, water play days, and petting zoos are designed to create opportunites for your children to invite unchurched friends to hear the gospel. Other events such as choir musicals, mission projects, and nursing home ministries are designed to teach your child how to minister to others. There is an abundance of exciting opportunities for your child at NEHBC!
