To love the Lord Jesus is to serve the Lord Jesus. That is a fundamental principle of a personal relationship with Christ. It is also why NEHBC expects every member to find a place of service in our church in order to contribute to the spiritual health of the church body and the one who is serving.
Below you will find a list of some of the important service opportunities at NEHBC. Once you have found an area of interest sign up using the form at the bottom of the list:
Serve through CORPORATE WORSHIP
| Vocalists | This team is made up of both chorus and Praise teams. They help |
| guide our congregation in worship during the Sunday morning and | |
| Wednesday evening services. Auditions are required. | |
| Student Worship Team | Adults needed to play and sing in the junior high and high school band. |
| They serve on Wednesdays at 7:00pm. Auditions are required. |

| Instrumentalists |
This team is made up of all band members who help guide our |
| congregation in worship through music during Sunday morning and | |
| Wednesday nigh services. Auditions are required. | |
| Technical Ministry Team | This multi-media team consists of those that work with lights, sound, |
| video, and screen displays to help with critical technical support of |
|
| each worship service. An interview is required. |
|
Serve through HOSPITALITY
| Parking Ministry |
Our goal is to personally greet and shake the hand of every person entering our |
| church. The main duties of the parking ministry are Greeting, Assisting, and |
|
| Directing 15 minutes before to 15 minutes after the start of each service: |
|
| Sundays, 8:45-9:15am and 10:15-10:45am. |
|
| Door Greeter Ministry |
It is our goal to personally open the doors and warmly greet every person |
| entering our church. The time of service on the greeter team is 15 minutes | |
| before to 15 minutes after the start of each service: Sundays, 8:45-9:15am | |
| and 10:15-10:45am. | |
| Lobby Greeter/Info Desk |
This team provides information to first time guests. The time of service |
| is 15 minutes before to 15 minutes after the start of each service: Sundays, |
|
| 8:45-9:15am and 10:15-10:45am. | |
| Usher Ministry |
Ushers host the people attending corporate worship by distributing info |
| guides, welcoming people, assisting late comers, and handling other related | |
| issues. Ushers commit to serve one service every Sunday morning. Ushers | |
| begin serving 15 minutes prior to their assigned service. |
Serve through SHEPHERDING
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
| Check-In Team |
Assist members and guests in the children's check-in area, welcome | ||
| parents and children, and answer general questions about the | |||
| Children's Ministry on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings | |||
| (minimum once a month). |
| Shepherd | Work in the same class every Sunday for 1 hour and conduct a 10 minute | ||
| activity for older preschoolers (materials provided). | |||
| Craft Teacher | Work 1 hour doing a craft with every Sunday doing a craft with each class | ||
| (craft ideas and supplies provided). |

| Music Teacher | Work 1 hour every Sunday teaching songs to each class (music provided). | ||
| Bible Teacher | Present a Bible story to each class every Sunday (all curriculum provided). | ||
| Playtime Teacher | Work 1 hour every Sunday engaging each class in games, playground time, | ||
| or recreational activity. | |||
| Assistant Shepherd | Helper in class every Sunday (one Sunday minimum a month). |
| Shepherd | Work with the same age group/class every Sunday, conduct 15 minute | ||
| activity at the start of class, help teachers and attend monthly rotation | |||
| training (activities and supplies are provided). | |||
| Rotation Teacher | Teach the lesson each Sunday (minimum 3-4 consecutive Sundays |
||
| per quarter) to a different age group and attend monthly rotation |
|||
| training (curriculum provided). |
| Puggles Leader (2 yrs) | Lead class activities every Wednesday night (materials provided). | ||
| Cubbies Leader (3 & 4 yrs) | Lead class activities every Wednesday night (materials provided). | ||
| Sparks Leader (K - 2nd) | Listen to children recite the verses and help with activities and games | ||
| every Wednesday night. | |||
| Truth & Training Leader (3rd - 5th) | Listen to children recite the verses and help with activities and games | ||
| every Wednesday night. | |||
| Wednesday Volunteer | Provide childcare for children under 2 years old on Wednesday nights | ||
| (minimum once a month). | |||
| Teen Bible Study Teacher |

Teachers are responsible to teach the provided curriculum to their class. |
| Must have attended NEHBC for 6 months. An interview is required. |
| Adult Bible Study Teacher |
|
|
Teachers are responsible to teach the provided curriculum to their class. |

| Men's Ministry |
This ministry assists single moms, shut-ins, and our members physically | ||
| unable with yard work, minor home repairs, etc. They also offer weekly | |||
| and monthly bible studies as well as seasonal and annual events such as | |||
| Sportsman's Day. | |||
| Women's Ministry |
This ministry assists in mentoring and counseling, the Prison Ministry, | ||
| and the Widows' Ministry. They also offer weekday bible studies as well | |||
| as seasonal and annual events. | |||
| Congregational Care Team |
Minister to those within the body of Christ who are experiencing | ||
| difficult challenges. This team includes grief support, home and hospital | |||
| visitation. |
Serve through SUPPORT
| Facilities Team | Completing behind the scenes tasks that encompass facility needs: |
| painting, drywall repair, maintenance, pressure washing, and minor |
|
| repairs. Volunteers serve as needs arise. This team is also responsible |
|
| for serving on a rotation to unlock and lock up the building on Sundays | |
| and Wednesdays. | |
| Weekday Volunteer | Men and women are needed to assist with minor administrative tasks |
| such as stuffing the Sunday morning info guides, stamping gospel |
|
| tracts with NEHBC's contact info, mailouts, etc. Days and times | |
| may vary. | |
| Graphic Artist |
This creative team helps to produce publicity materials that help |
| communicate information at NEHBC both in hard copy form and on the |
|
| website. An interview is required. |
|
| Website Team |
The website team creates and updates interesting and engaging |
| website destinations to help connect guests and members to church- |
|
| wide information. Serving days and times vary. An interview is required. |
Serve through FARRINGTON MISSION
| Food Pantry |
This team is responsible for picking up donated food and taking it to the |
| mission, stocking it, and sorting these items in preparation for the | |
| distribution. The Food Pantry is open Monday nights (6-8pm). | |
| Clothes Closet |
This team is responsible for picking up donations, sorting clothes, and |
| properly displaying them for families as they come. The Clothes Closet is |
|
| open Monday nights (6-8pm). | |
| ESL | Part of the vision of the mission is to reach those who do not yet know the |
| English language. This team works together to teach weekly classes to individuals |
|
| individuals in the community while sharing the gospel. If you are fluent in Spanish |
|
| this is an excellent place to serve. ESL classes meet on Mondays (7-8pm). |
|
| Maintenance/Security |
The maintenance of the mission takes a team of volunteers who are committed |
| to cleaning and performing minor repair work. This will be on an "as needed" | |
| basis. | |
| Basketball Outreach |
This team reaches men and boys from the community around the mission one |
| night a week. Through the basketball ministry, avenues are created for many to |
|
| hear the gospel. The basketball ministry meets on Thursdays (7-9pm). | |
| |
|
