MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES

To love the Lord Jesus is to serve the Lord Jesus. That is a fundamental principle of a personal relationship with Christ. It is also why NEHBC expects every member to find a place of service in our church in order to contribute to the spiritual health of the church body and the one who is serving.
Below you will find a list of some of the important service opportunities at NEHBC. Once you have found an area of interest sign up using the form at the bottom of the list:
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

PASTORAL CARE MINISTRY
As part of this ministry, you will help people at a point of deep need and participate in hospital visitation.
GRAPHIC ARTIST
Creat publicity layouts as needed. Experience required.
MEN'S MINISTRY
This ministry assists our single moms, shut-ins, and our physically unable with yard work, minor home repairs, etc. They also help coordinate big events such as Sportsman's Day.
FACILITIES MINISTRY
Behind the scene tasks that encompass facility needs: painting, drywall repair, maintenance, pressure washing, and minor repairs. Volunteers serve as needs arise.
WEEKDAY VOLUNTEER MINISTRY
On Thursday mornings, men and women gather to assist with minor administrative tasks such as stuffing the Sunday morning info guides, stamping Gospel tracts with NEHBC's contact info., etc.
ADULT BIBLE STUDY TEACHER
Teachers are responsible to teach the provided curriculum to their class. Must have attended NEHBC for 6 months.
HOSPITALITY MINISTRY
| Parking Team | We believe that the Sunday morning worship experience starts in the parking lot. |
| It is our goal to personally greet and shake the hand of every person entering | |
| our church. There are three (3) main duties of the parking team: Greeting, | |
| Assisting, and Directing. Our time of service on the parking team is 15 minutes | |
| before and 15 minutes after the start of each service: 8:30-9:00AM, | |
| 9:45-10:15AM, and 10:55-11:25AM. It is a total of 1.5 hours to serve on Sunday | |
| morning during your scheduled day. | |
| Door Greeter Team | It is our goal to personally open the doors and warmly greet every person entering |
| our church. Our time of service on the greeter team is 15 minutes before to 15 | |
| minutes after the start of each service: 8:30-9:00AM, 9:45-10:15AM, | |
| and 10:55-11:25AM. It is a total of 1.5 hours to serve on Sunday morning during | |
| your scheduled day. | |
| Lobby Greeter/Info Desk | This position provides information to first time guests. The time of service is every |
| Sunday 15 minutes before to 15 minutes after the start of each service: 8:30-9:00AM, | |
| 9:45-10:15AM, and 10:55-11:25AM. | |
| Usher Team | Ushers host the people attending corporate worship by distributing info guides, |
| welcoming people, assisting late comers, and handling other related issues. Ushers | |
| commit to serve one service every Sunday morning. Ushers begin serving 15 minutes | |
| prior to their assigned service. | |
MUSIC MINISTRY
| The Blended Team | These musicians and singers lead worship in the Sunday 8:45AM service as well as the |
| Wednesday evening services. Tryouts are required. Contact bmurray@nehbc.com. | |
| The Contemporary Team | These musicians and singers lead worship in the Sunday 10:00AM and 11:10AM services |
| as well as the Wednesday evening services. Tryouts are required. Contact | |

| Student Praise Team | Adults needed to play and sing in the junior high and high school band. They serve on |
| Wednesdays at 6:45PM. Tryouts are required. Contact | |

FARRINGTON MISSION
| Food Pantry | This team is responsible for picking up donated food and taking it to the mission, |
| stocking it, and sorting these items in preparation for the distribution. The food | |
| pantry is open Monday nights (6-8pm). | |
| Clothes Closet | This team is responsible for picking up donations, sorting clothes, and properly |
| displaying them for families as they come. The clothes closet is open Monday | |
| nights (6-8pm). | |
| ESL | Part of the vision of the mission is to reach those who do not yet know the |
| English language. This team works together to teach weekly classes to | |
| individuals in the community while sharing the gospel. If you are | |
| fluent in Spanish this is an excellent place to serve. ESL classes meet on | |
| Mondays (7-8pm). | |
| Maintenance Team | The maintenance of the mission takes a team of volunteers who are |
| committed to cleaning and performing minor repair work. This will be on | |
| an "as needed" basis. | |
| Basketball Open Gym | This team reaches men and boys from the community around the mission |
| one night a week. Through the basketball ministry, avenues are created | |
| for many to hear the gospel. The basketball ministry meets on Thursdays | |
| (7-9pm). | |
| Dance Clinic | This team seeks to reach young girls from the community with the gospel of |
| Jesus Christ. This clinic will take place in the Fall of 2010 on Wednesday | |
| nights. | |
