Love Our City
Farrington Mission (Houston's 5th Ward)
In 2010,
NEHBC launched a full service mission that now exists in the Fifth Ward of Houston's inner city. This mission is run by volunteers from multiple churches from all over the Houston area. Its purpose is to reach the people of Houston by meeting physical needs and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For more information on the mission click here.

New Orleans (Mardi Gras)
February 18 - 20
During the week of Mardi Gras festivities almost one million people journey to New Orleans. This team will pass out tracts, do service projects, and engage people with the gospel message during the many parades and evening activities down in the famous French Quarter. This will be our 6th trip to Mardi Gras. You must be 21 or older to be a part of this team.
Beaumont, Texas
March 15 - 18
NEHBC will assist Amelia Baptist Church in Beaumont with a variety of projects. We will conduct a Thursday-Friday outreach event to reach teenagers, host a widow's banquet, and have organized day trips for tract and flyer distribution for the church.
Tallinn, Estonia
May 25 - June 2
Our team will be working with missionaries Tom & Jennifer Thompson attempting to reach Estonians with the gospel. We will engage in tract and Bible distribution, conduct football camps to reach teens and young people. We will also have one-on-one conversations with Estonians centered on the gospel, and spend time prayer walking the city. This is a great trip for first time and/or seasoned mission goers.
Budapest, Hungary
June 22 - 30
Our team will work alongside the International Baptist Church of Budapest to reach young families and children through a Vacation Bible School. We will also help them work with teenagers in the city. There will be opportunities to go into orphanages and a women’s shelter to both minister and share the gospel.
2012 London Olympics
July 24 - August 3
This team will work in conjunction with the International Mission Board and More Than Gold to conduct service projects and share the gospel one on one with the many who will journey to London during the summer games. This daily work will include traveling in and around London at various events to greet the crowds and engage them with the message of Christ.
Sturgis, South Dakota
August 3 - 11
One million people come to Sturgis, South Dakota for one of the largest motorcycle rallies in the world. This team will partner with the Hellfighters to share the love of Jesus Christ in practical ways while attempting to share the gospel message. This will be NEHBC’s fourth trip to Sturgis.
London, England
September 14 - 22
Our team will assist Andrew & Sarah Bunnell, along with Southside Baptist Church in reaching South London with the gospel through a variety of projects. This will be our 2nd trip to London to work with Andrew and Sarah Bunnell, NEHBC members.
Thessaloniki, Greece
October 5 - 13
NEHBC adopted the city of Thessaloniki in 2010 with the hopes of planting a church in this great city. This team will canvas neighborhoods in the western part of the city with tracts and share the gospel one on one. The goal of this trip will be to reach teenagers and young people through small basketball camps. Part of this trip will be a “Footsteps of Paul” tour that includes Athens, Corinth, Thessaloniki, Philippi, Neapolis and Cenchreae.
Marseille, France
November 2 - 10
Project Northern Lights exists in Marseille, France to share the gospel and pass out Bibles in Arabic to North African Muslims at the gates of the large ferry port that exists there. Every year hundreds of thousands of North Africans pass through this port to journey from Europe to their homeland. Our team will engage with those at the gates and share the good news of Jesus Christ. This will be NEHBC's second trip to Marseille.
